Abu Jani & Sandeep Khosla Launch India’s First VFX Fashion Film ‘Mera Noor Hai Mashhoor’
Designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla recently hosted a grand fashion soirée. They are known for doing things in an unconventional way as they marked the launch of a fashion film, ‘Mera Noor Hai Mashhoor’, under their very own brand. The film conveys the message of the power of one’s luminous, divine self.
It is India’s first VFX fashion film and an ode to self-acceptance and aims to create an environment free from guilt and shame. The line “They had forgotten the first lesson, that we are to be powerful, beautiful, and without regret” by Anne Rice served as inspiration for it.
Abu Sandeep came up with the premise for the movie, and Sharic Sequeira, a first-time filmmaker, brought it to life with an all-inclusive cast of more than 40 people, starring Huma Qureshi, Aashim Gulati, supermodel Ujjwala Raut, actor Tarun Arora and Uorfi Javed, who also makes a special appearance.
The designer duo created a massive collection that required enormous devotion to complete. All of the clothing, accessories, and shoes were handcrafted. The collections feature beautiful hand embroidery and embellishments like crystals and pearls. They range from vibrant and earthy tones to the traditional marriage of beige and black, finishing with lovely whites. Beaded bralettes, Anarkali sarees, ghagras, kaftans, circular skirts, and for the first time ever, Indian couture with bondage-inspired details are among the striking styles. They were showcased in the film. Four opulent ensembles for each model, totalling more than 150 outfits selected from 18 collections made by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. If this isn’t iconic, we don’t know what is.
