For all Holi lovers, the wait is almost over. However, while you wait to leave the house and play with colours, turn on your favourite Holi soundtrack, and enjoy some festive food, let us walk you through the most crucial thing you could have overlooked: Holi Skincare. When you’re throwing colour at each other, it’s all fun and games. However, once the sun has gone down, it’s a pain to spend an eternity cleaning up colour residue in the shower. Those with sensitive skin will find all of this to be even more terrifying, so taking a little extra care and precaution go a long way.

Pre Holi Skincare Tips

Holi was traditionally played using natural colours and flowers, but lately, people have started using chemical colours instead, which can seriously harm your skin. You will find it nearly impossible to completely erase the colour from your skin after playing with chemical-infused colours. – 10 minutes of rubbing an ice cube on your face can be quite beneficial. Your skin’s pores tighten up, preventing toxic colours from seeping through and provoking flare-ups.
– Using a body lotion all over your skin is the next step to preventing the colour from harming your skin before Holi. Your dry skin will be hydrated as a result, and it will absorb less colour. You can give your hair a layer of protection by applying oil to it.
– Make sure you don’t skip the sunscreen. Opt for a sunscreen that is waterproof, gel-based, and acts as a barrier to shield your skin.
