The year 2022 has seen some of the most avant-garde beauty trends. According to Google, some of the top beauty trends of 2022 included strong looks with dark lip liners and graphic eyeliner styles. Additionally, we saw the white dot highlighting technique, doe eyes, and siren eyes trends become popular before eventually making their way to red carpets like the Met Gala and New York Fashion Week. Now it’s time to know about the top beauty trends in 2023, so you can flaunt the looks before they become popular on social media in the coming year.
1. Graphic Eyeshadow
Liquid eyeliner is not necessary to get a graphic look. Instead, experimenting with bolder shadows can help you take it up a notch. You can also use contrasting shades for your eyeshadow and eyeliner to make the eyes pop.
2. Pastels
Pastels will make a comeback in the summer of 2023 with a new, contemporary aesthetic. In terms of eyeshadows, lavender, blues, greens, and pinks can be used with contrasting eyeliner.
3. Blush
Although blush has been one of the most loved products of all time, its placement is important. The popular technique of blush application includes applying it in a C-shape from the cheekbones to the temples to give you a natural sunkissed look with a little bit of lift. It is expected to return in the upcoming year.
4. Neon Hues
Neon shades usually make a statement, and they are getting better this year. Don’t be afraid to cover your lids in sunny colours with small flicks of slime green and the lovely shades of fuchsia that adorned the spring/summer 2023 runaways.
5. Soft Goth
Soft goth is the ’90s trend that will return. Expect a soft-goth revival where people embrace their inner Wednesday (Addams) by blending smokey plums, browns, and burgundies under and around the eye and balancing them with smoked-out black eyeliner.
6. Embellishments All Over
We’ll always be grateful to Euphoria for reintroducing pearls and rhinestones. This trend is here to stay, at least in 2023. It may seem extra, using rhinestones on your face and around your eyes, but that’s the vibe we’re going for.
ClapClap Tip: If your embellishments aren’t self-adhesive, you can always opt for eyelash glue instead.
