Mimicking isn’t at all easy, and it’s not just about the voice – it’s a character altogether. The ones’ you hear who have aced the skill of mimicking a celebrity, their family member or a famous character are very few.

That’s the main reason why Chandni caught on recognition, when her mimic of Alia Vatt became viral to the point she aced her personality. When it comes to social media, one video is all it can take to make you renowned overnight.

What’s surprising is Alia Bhatt called her out in a Brahmastra interview which made headlines for her and her fanbase.

But to ace the trick of imitating, here’s what you’ve got to do:

1. Study that person:

One thing Chandni really did well was study Alia extremely well. It could have taken her 3-4 watch’s of Brahmastra for her to learn her lines, understand the dynamic between Alia and Ranbir’s chemistry and communication with each other.  A video with Yash Raj Mukhate that showed exactly how she excels imitating her. She focuses on interviews, movies such as Gangu bai and more. But Alia isn’t the only actress she has aced imitating. Her portfolio includes Bhumika, Ananya, Daya ben’s voice and more among actors’ voices too.

2. Don’t be shy about it:

When imitating, don’t let your viewers know you’re nervous or shy about it. If you’re enjoying it, chances are even they will. Which will naturally boost your following and make your viewers want more of such content. Celebrities accept it more when you’re unapologetically yourself and do your best by mimicking them, after all most of them enjoy laughing at themselves.

3. Practice scenarios:

Get comfortable in front of the mirror and introduce scenarios and let yourself loose acting. These help you get the required confidence and enact your act perfectly.
