Without a glamorous beauty look to match, no Oscars outfit is complete. Hollywood A-listers Jessica Chastain, Halle Berry, and Jessie Buckley all had their beauty looks created by Charlotte Tilbury makeup artists; the brand is known for emphasising glowing skin and sophisticated makeup. Let’s decode their beauty looks from the 95th Academy Awards.

Jessica Chastain

According to makeup artist Kristofer Buckle, “Jessica’s look was inspired by classic sirens of cinema’s golden era. Glowing skin combined with lush lashes, an elongated eye, and a bold berry lip, which have always been symbols of a woman’s power of seduction”. Jessica’s look oozes elegance and power. For the event, she chose a silver Gucci gown with black accents, her hair in loose waves, and a bold lip.

Halle Berry

Halle Berry flaunted a short bob and wore a beautiful white gown with bronze rose embellishments. As for the makeup, “The inspiration for the look was 1960s makeup. We wanted to play with cut creases in the eyes that mix the ‘60s with the ‘70s disco era. We wanted the eyes to be the focal point with a harsh crease but added some fun with a sparkling eyelid. The rest of the face came together seamlessly with bronze, dewy skin, berry blush and a nude lip”, says Jorge Monroy, makeup artist.

Jessie Buckley

Jessie Buckley channelled gothic glamour in a Rodarte gown with puff shoulders, dark lace, and gold and purple, dazzling flowers. “The inspiration for her makeup was Mystic Goth Fairy – sagely touched by the moonlight” adds Florrie White, makeup artist.
